About Me
Hi there! My name is Sarah Fathelbab and I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a UX/UI Designer. My interest in UX/UI sparked rather quickly when I was introduced to the field in my Human Computer Interaction course - this is where my team and I built a prototype of an application, CollegeVibes, for freshmen college students (you can find this project in my Portfolio tab!). With our hard work and dedication, our team received the highest grade in a class of 50 students. I believe collaboration is the key to innovation. As I dove deeper into the tech world, my sister Sahara (also a Computer Science graduate) and I created our tech blog and instagram page, CodingSisters. Our goal is to share advice to other coders and inspire other women and women of color to take the tech plunge. When we first started our blog and instagram page, we were overwhelmed with joy to receive dozens of messages from other women seeking advice to get into tech, or from women already in tech struggling to persevere when they felt like they had little motive to do so. I am enthused and excited to build on the experiences and knowledge I have gained from thriving in this field, and I am committed to learning more, working more, and contributing more to this field!
