About Me
My Story: Hi, I’m Michelle. My design journey started with Canva, where I’ve worked on simple projects like school brochures, posters, and banners. I love how design can communicate ideas and make an impact, and I dream of turning this passion into a career as a freelance designer. However, my circumstances are challenging. I live in a rural area in Indonesia, and my house is in poor condition. I don’t have a laptop or a computer, and I currently rely on borrowing a school Chromebook when I go to teach. Despite these limitations, I am determined to move forward and make the most of what I have. The Help I Need: I’m looking for guidance in 1. Building a portfolio using free tools like Canva that can highlight my skills and potential. 2. Learning how to get started as a freelance designer without expensive software or equipment. 3. Understanding how to attract clients, especially on platforms like Upwork or Fiverr. 4. Improving my design principles and techniques to create better and more professional work. 5. Planning my career path step-by-step, given my current financial and technical limitations. I know the road ahead won’t be easy, but I’m committed to working hard and staying positive. Having a mentor to guide me during this challenging time would mean so much to me. Thank you for considering my story.
