About Me

👋 Hi! I’m Karly, a Senior Product Designer with a passion for building scalable design systems, creating user-centric products, and advocating for accessibility. I have over eight years of experience working with global brands like Warner Discovery, Universal Music, and FTI Touristik, helping teams streamline workflows, improve consistency, and bridge the gap between design and development. I am currently based in Berlin, Germany. At FTI Touristik, I played a key role in evolving the design system by establishing foundational tokens, refining component libraries, and driving adoption across teams. Previously, at Warner Discovery, I worked on theming and design system integrations for multiple brands, ensuring visual cohesion and scalability. My experience spans design system strategy, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to create products that are both efficient and accessible. After being part of the layoffs at FTI Touristik in September, I am using this time to explore new industries, find the right next step, and level up my design skills. While I have deep experience in media and travel, I am excited to branch out and apply my expertise in design systems and accessibility in new spaces. Accessibility has always been a major focus for me, both in my work ensuring WCAG compliance and in a side project I am building that uses AI to help detect harmful strobe frequencies in media content.
