About Me
Hi! I’m Gillian. I’m an aspiring UX Designer and a full time student in Springboard’s UX/UI program. Over the past decade, I have gained expertise in multiple industries, including public relations, event coordination and hospitality, which has contributed to my ability to communicate with different stakeholders in high pressure environments. I am open, adventurous and curious. I have traveled extensively and spent 2016 backpacking solo throughout South and Central America. I hold a BS in Communication from Boston University, an MA from King’s College London and a Certificate in Custom Interiors from the Heritage School of Interior Design in Portland, Oregon. My travels and work experiences have led me to believe that if you leap, the net will appear. I would love to bring my international experience and design skills to an organization that reaches global audiences. I am passionate about solving real world problems, so for my capstone project I am developing an unemployment website that can be used by all 50 states in the US.
