We can now actually measure the signup funnel
Until today, we had no way to know how many people who start signing up actually finish, verify their email, and complete onboarding — no analytics tool of any kind was wired up anywhere on the platform. That's now fixed with a first-party event-tracking foundation built directly into the app: registration, email verification, and onboarding completion are all now recorded, along with the first meaningful action a new member takes (starting with contacting a mentor, with more actions being added as we go).
This is deliberately a foundation, not a finished dashboard — the next steps are wiring up the same kind of tracking for mentor search and requests, learning paths, critique, and job activity, so we can measure real engagement across the whole platform, not just the signup funnel.
We also wrote out a full definition of what we're calling a "Monthly Meaningful Progressor" — the metric we care about most: not registrations or page views, but members who actually make progress each month.
