A clear data retention policy, enforced automatically

Designed.org now has a written, versioned data retention policy covering every kind of data the platform keeps: what it's for, how long we keep it, and how that limit is actually enforced.

The enforcement is automatic, not aspirational: a daily cleanup purges operational logs after 90 days, data-quality records after 180 days, analytics events after 13 months, and pre-account waitlist signups after 24 months. Your account data itself is different — it's kept while your account exists, fully exportable anytime, and erased when you delete your account.

The policy document also does something policies often don't: it names its own gaps honestly and tracks fixing them, rather than pretending everything is covered.
