Private feedback notes, and opt-in invitations to review
Two additions to Critique this week.
First, private notes: when someone gives you feedback, you can now privately record why it did or didn't help, right on the response. Only you can see these notes -- they're your own record of what kind of feedback moves your work forward.
Second, reviewer invitations -- strictly opt-in. If you turn on "Invite me to review critiques matching my profile topics" in your notification settings (it's off by default), you may occasionally be invited to give feedback on new submissions in areas you know. We cap invitations at a handful of members per submission and rotate who gets asked, so nobody becomes the default reviewer. Giving thoughtful critique is one of the best ways to sharpen your own eye -- this makes it easier to find work that could use yours.
