Become a calibrated critic

Giving great critique is a skill, and research shows rubric-guided calibration measurably improves feedback quality. There's now a self-serve way to build it at designed.org/critique/calibration.

The flow: study our critique rubric (structure, specificity, actionability, and rating discipline), then judge two real example submissions the way a reviewer would. Your ratings are scored against expert reference ratings -- pass by staying within one point on every area. It's retakeable, and we never reveal the answer key.

Calibrated critics are preferred when we invite reviewers to new submissions (the opt-in invitations we launched this week) -- so calibrating is also the fastest way to see more work that needs your eye.
