I've spent 21 years in design - 13 of them leading teams at startups, B2B companies, SaaS businesses and ecommerce giants. I've been the overlooked senior. The first-time manager drowning in ambiguity. The person who built something genuinely excellent and still had to fight to be taken seriously in the room.
