About Me

Hello! I'm Sarah. I’m a graphic designer with the passion of an artist the pragmatism of a strategist. It’s a mouthful, but it’s true. I have worked as a one-woman studio for my whole professional life, (just over five years), and I’m at a standstill, which is one of the reasons I’m seeking a mentor. While I have plenty of experience with different kinds of clients and have confidently led on all sorts of project types, I have yet to land my my first in-house role. I’m dealing with that catch-22 of needing experience to get the job, but needing the job to get the experience. I’m not where I want to be in my life as a creative- which is in a place where I can grow, learn from others, and do what I love to do—while actually existing in a workplace environment. Another reason I’m seeking a creative mentor is to figure out which creative skills I should spend time learning to make myself a more attractive candidate. It seems like with every job description I read, you’re expected to wear more hats than could ever fit on anyone’s head. I could go on, but that’s my snippet for you! ✨
