About Me
Full-Stack UX: Design & Code. I speak both languages. From a young age, I've thrived on building and solving problems. I was the little girl who asked for both Fashion Plates and Erector Sets for Christmas and entered my school's invention fair starting in kindergarten with the invention of a “pizza plate” (which, admittedly, could have benefited from a few more iterations). This penchant for creation has carried over into my professional career, where I've seamlessly transitioned between roles as a designer and developer, crafting solutions to address user needs. With years of frontend development experience in my tool belt, I have a deep understanding of CSS, semantic naming, and Automic Design Principles. This background in development has proven invaluable, as many frontend principles seamlessly translate into modern design tools. For instance, my proficiency with Flexbox in website development has made mastering Figma’s auto layout a breeze, and semantically naming variables comes as second nature. I can’t help but think in systems with every step I take. While some designers may view design systems as limiting creativity, I see them as enablers, freeing up time for designers and developers to tackle more complex challenges. I would love some help crafting my story and identifying what types of companies could benefit the most from my diverse set of skills.
