About Me
Multi-disciplined Product Strategist and UI/UX Design Leader. I have 10+ years of experience in startups, scale-ups, and large enterprises across FinTech, EdTech, and consumer tech, amongst others. I strive to solve human-centered problems through cross-functional teamwork, systems thinking, storytelling, behavioral psychology, and good humour. Above all, I am passionate about helping all individuals, teams, and organizations I am privileged to work with to find their best innovative and creative selves. Currently, I am a Senior Product Designer at Axonify, a rapidly growing Waterloo-based company and leader in the microlearning space. As a part of the Product team, I am actively involved in UI/UX initiatives to improve modern training and learning for more than 1.5M front-line associates across multiple segments including Retail, Sales, Contact Centers and more. My design process involves stakeholder interviews, qualitative and quantitate user research, crafting product strategy, user flow mapping, wireframing, rapid prototyping, UI design, usability testing, design sprint facilitation, and working closely with engineering to ensure final delivery. Previously, I was a Design Lead at Manulife Financial’s Research, Exploration and Development (RED) Lab at the Communitech Hub in Kitchener. I was involved in ideating, designing and building prototypes of innovative solutions for financial services using emerging technologies for mobile, smartwatches, chatbots and voice interfaces. I am also an award-winning writer, having secured 1st place in the Manager's category of the Peter Drucker Challenge 2017. I also have widely read articles and guest blog-posts published on Fast Company, the InVision blog, Medium and others. My topics usually revolve around design, product development, and innovation. In addition, I am proud to be providing UX mentorship to a group of ambitious and inspiring students through Springboard’s online UI/UX Design program, placing in the top 25% of mentors. Lastly, I am also a Top 100 Product Hunter where I'm excited to help startups and entrepreneurs launch their products to the broader public.
