About Me
Hello! My name is Aliya and I'm based in Chicago. I'm starting out in UX and seeking a mentor to get some guidance. This is a career change for me; I come from a background in international development and working with INGOs. I've taken an online bootcamp class from Udacity that gave me a pretty foundational understanding and practice in UX. I know how to use Figma, Miro, Zeplin, Lookback as some of the apps. Although I have gone through a course and have two completed projects, I still feel fairly novice. I'm looking for guidance on figuring out a cohesive process, portfolio building, as well as feedback and encouragement to build my confidence in this skillset. Other than UX, I am also a novice woodworker, a bad painter, and a hopeful writer. I also really really love fruits.
