About Me
Hi everyone, My name is Aarohi Doshi and I am currently a UX Designer in Michigan Institute of Clinical and Health Research, Ann Arbor, Michigan. I have an interesting intersection of psychology, creative arts therapy, entrepreneurship, design and research. I think expanding my knowledge to service design, systems thinking and UX strategy would enable me to be a well-rounded designer. Prior to UX, I was running my own mental health entrepreneurial venture in India, during which I came to realise that therapy alone was not enough to create an impact in disseminating mental health services, COVID saw a boom in mental health conversations, however, access to therapy and stigma were two major problems that I experienced. This propelled me to think about the intersection of design, technology, human behavior and decided to pivot to a career in UX. Today, I am not limited to mental health, and see value in adding my expertise and experiences in the health sector. I am relatively new in the field of UX, however, due to my innate need of integrating various disciplines and schools of thought, I am able to adapt to contexts and surroundings that need me to think creatively.
