At first glance, this little wooden toy truck looks like it has its own garage: But in fact, it's a working vehicle with a job to do: "This satisfying sequence of loading, driving, and unloading is exactly the kind of repetitive play children love," writes Japanese toy designer Kazuto Komatsu. "It encourages curiosity, concentration, and the joy of doing something again and again." The toy set is called Tuminy, and Komatsu sells them through his wooden toy brand, Comomg. They retail for about $68.
