About Me
Ugo is a digital product designer with over 7 years of experience designing solutions across the fintech, e-commerce, banking, Med-tech, utilities, and charity industries. He is focused on visual identity development, interaction design, cross-platform deployment, low/no code design, and community development. A proven team player, design mentor, team manager, and design thinking advocate who enjoys breaking down complex problems and training the next generation of designers. Ugo has also co-founded a few businesses helping over 30,000 customers monthly easily pay their utility bills as well as accept payments easily in Nigeria. As far as work goes, he has helped companies like eConsult Health (UK), Senior Internet (UK), Deep Consulting Solutions (USA), FirstBank (Nigeria), and MTN (Congo) build better interactions with their users. He holds a Master's degree in Interaction Design from Sheffield Hallam University as well as a Bachelors degree in Economics which he claims helps him understand business’ commercial needs. As a self-taught designer, he has a passion for continuous learning and facilitating design education in diverse communities - born from the frustrations of learning without having access to mentors. He aims to do democratise design learning, whether it's speaking on design, teaching budding designers, or collaborating with others toward their goals outside of my day job.
