About Me
Hi! I'm Greta. I love designing platforms which enable communities and individuals to be empowered through knowledge. I'm a systematic utilitarian designer, which means that I focus on creating solutions that are effective and efficient. I come from a multicultural family, and my personal background of being a 2nd generation immigrant has given me a strong set of values. This has helped me develop empathy for the people that I design solutions for. I've been designing for over 20 years, and I'm passionate about making technology more accessible for everyone. I believe that it's important to always keep learning, and to never stop challenging yourself. AI used in sustainability, fintech and healthcare are a personal passion mine, especially designing for seniors is of particular interest as I have observed how today's technology is letting seniors down over and over again . The article by Dan Norman in fastcompany poignantly highlights barriers of usability for seniors. https://www.fastcompany.com/90338379/i-wrote-the-book-on-user-friendly-design-what-i-see-today-horrifies-me I started my career as a graphic designer, where I learned the importance of form follows function and creating visual balance through utilitarian features. My aim is to create best in class experiences by being time efficient and cost saving - having led teams up to the size of 45 UXers and managed an entire UX offering throughout APAC for 8 offices.
