About Me
Rahul Sanapala is an accomplished architect, designer, and educator passionate about learning through hands-on experience. He holds a master's degree in Design for Retail Experience from NID and a bachelor's degree in Architecture. While at NID, Rahul discovered a love for primitive skill sets, designing and making objects, and working with materials, particularly bamboo. Rahul has worked on various design projects using bamboo, including furniture, products, and structures. He enjoys learning from artisans and designers and sharing his knowledge through teaching space design, working with materials, design fundamentals, research methodology, and design process. Rahul advocates design thinking and enjoys conducting hands-on workshops that challenge participants to think differently about design problems. Before his time at NID, Rahul spent almost three years working with Titan Company Limited as a space planner and designer. He created store identities for Fastrack, Mia, Helios, and Mont Blanc brands. He designed layouts, furniture, fixtures, and interior elements for Fastrack and Mia's store identities in mall formats. Rahul's unique background in architecture and design makes him an excellent educator passionate about sharing his knowledge with others.
