About Me
It could be a star. A house in the middle of nowhere. A distress signal. The start of a forest fire. That little speck of light can change everything, I know that. And that's what I've been talking about all this time... about how a single LED blinking in your screen, at the right time, can change a story and unfold a whole new experience. My name is Allan, and for 16 years I have been using technologies with this vision. Part of my journey was discovering how we can use it in creative ways, and telling these stories to others. Translating "tech" to humans. Teaching how to use. Explaining that a moving light, or a cell phone, only becomes magical if it is used by us; that there is no purpose in it without us. So I also explored the use of these technologies to create new things. Projectors, buttons, screens, sensors, data, interacting behind the scenes to enhance people and places, and as a medium to beautify, enchant, or create new experiences. I love to code, especially because of how easy is to use this 'ability' to create new things. So, yes, I'm a developer. Also a designer. And also a maker. I have been exploring the field of automation and interactions with sensors and chatbots for a long time, programming with TypeScript, C, C# and Python, and using technologies and libraries such as Node.js, React, Unity, Arduino, Google Assistant, Alexa, Dialogflow, IBM Watson and Processing. And recently I have also discovered how amazing is the DevOps 'world', working hard with Docker, Terraform, Vagrant & other tools to keep things easier to maintain.
