Each mentor's profile shows their background and areas of focus. From there you can reach out to request mentoring — some mentors also have online booking enabled for scheduling directly.

Finding a mentor

Apply at [/become-a-mentor](/become-a-mentor). Designed's mentor network is entirely volunteer — working designers giving their time to help others grow, which is a big part of how the platform stays free.

Once you're approved, use **Settings → Mentoring** to control your availability — see [Mentoring availability and donations](/help/account-settings/mentoring-availability-and-donations). Filling out your [experience and education](/help/account-settings/experience-and-education) beforehand makes your application easier to evaluate and your profile more useful to mentees deciding whether to reach out.

Becoming a mentor

Mentoring on Designed is volunteer time, not a guaranteed service — response times and availability vary mentor to mentor, and that's expected. A good first message is specific about what you're looking for (portfolio feedback, career advice, help with a specific skill) rather than an open-ended "can you mentor me?"
