Checkout Flow Redesign

What are they designing?

A redesigned checkout flow for an e-commerce app, focused on simplifying delivery options and reducing drop-off before payment.

Who is it for?

Online shoppers checking out on mobile, many of whom abandon their cart when delivery options feel confusing.

What are they trying to improve?

I redesigned checkout because users struggled to understand delivery options. I'd love feedback on whether the flow is clearer now.

What works:

The step indicator at the top makes it really clear how many steps are left — that alone should cut down on drop-off anxiety.

What could improve:

The delivery options section still has three cards that look visually identical in weight, so it's not obvious which one is selected until you look closely at the radio button.

Next step:

Try giving the selected delivery option a stronger visual state — a colored border or filled background — so it reads at a glance.

What works:

Solid instinct to tackle delivery options first — that's usually where checkout friction actually lives, not the payment form itself.

What could improve:

Right now the flow asks users to choose delivery speed before they've even seen the cost difference, which forces a decision without enough information.

Next step:

Show the price delta next to each delivery option up front, and consider defaulting to the most common choice so most users can just confirm and move on.
